Pause

A temporary stop or rest; an intermission of action; interruption; suspension; cessation.

Temporary inaction or waiting; hesitation; suspence; doubt.

In speaking or reading aloud, a brief arrest or suspension of voice, to indicate the limits and relations of sentences and their parts.
